You could try and kill the Crystal Hunters but, to prevent the risk of getting damage or falling to the crystals below, we suggest you just dodge their attacks and continue on the four revolving platforms. Next, there will be f our revolving platforms, which will rotate to its crystal-spiked bottom shortly after it is touched, two Crystal Hunters, and a Shardmite. Go to the right and break the wooden barrier. This next room will be an even more frustrating room than the last one so brace yourself.Use the Desolate Dive spell to break it and reach the Crystalised Mound.
Hollow knight crystal peak windows#
There are also very short windows for healing which can be frustrating. Soul Master teleports around the arena and is extremely fast, making dealing damage a bit of a pain.
Soul Master can be a pretty tough fight, but upgrading the Nail makes it a lot easier. After you’ve met Hornet, you will realize that you can’t progress further and so you must back track to the elevator you took to get to the Nailsmith Where to Get the City of Tears Map Making it here will trigger a cutscene and you will learn a little bit more about the game’s story from Hornet. From the Nailsmith head right, staying on the bottom level, until you reach the large fountain. I didn’t mark this on the map, but the directions are pretty simple. Upgrading your nail costs 250 Geo, but is well worth it. Follow the sign left until you reach the Nailsmith. To get to this NPC from the entrance, simply head right and take make your way down through the rooms via the elevator until you see a sign with a Nail on it.
Hollow knight crystal peak upgrade#
To upgrade the Nail visit the Nailsmith located in the bottom, left corner of the city. This will help you a ton in this region and going forwards as you will find the enemies start to have more health. Upgrading the nail increases your damage. In total, there are three nail upgrades to get throughout the entire playthrough. Upgrading your Nail should be the first thing you do in City of Tears.
